PARENTS PLEASE NOTE

The science fair project is voluntary for all students. It is most important for the

students (not the parents) to elect to participate in the science fair project.

The objective of the science project is the acquisition of knowledge gained by the

students from the work. Please, if your child chooses to do a project, encourage your

child to do a project that is appropriate for his/her age level and ability.

Feel free to help your child, but DO NOT do all of the work for him/her.

• THE TEACHERS WILL MAINLY BE LOOKING FOR A STUDENT’S UNDERSTANDING OF AND

ABILITY TO EXPLAIN HIS/HER PROJECT.

WHO WILL COMPLETE A PROJECT?

All students are welcome to do a science fair project if they choose. Students may work

individually or in pairs. They will present their projects to their teacher and classmates

and display their science board at the Faria Science Fair.

All students who complete a science fair project will receive a ribbon of participation.
